Jazz Cafe: Interlude

It’s been my long, actually soon after I’d released a page of ‘About Me’ in my web site a few years back, cherished wish of creating a web page of something about jazz and myself. There are quite a few interesting and valuable sites regarding this topic, however, as usual, I wanted to make one of my own style.

To me, jazz is a long personal interest almost equal length of time to painting. However, one thing which might have been sort of keeping myself from starting to design the page was that I’m not very sure how many people who love paintings could be jazz fans, or at least interested in this rather new form of musical art.

Another seeming barrier for creating web pages on jazz was the fact that there are quite strict restrictions against making new pages. It’s inevitable to use any of well-known jazz themes which is apparently impossible without paying prohibiting amount of copy right license. Also, for the same reason, you can’t even use fancy jacket design of great album or jazz player’s photographs of any sort that could bring so intimate atmosphere.

All of a sudden, I’ve come across to the idea to go without paying a penny to anyone several hours ago, which occurred to me while I was listening Christmas songs played by many famous jazz artists. I don’t know why. You’ll find the clue when entering in my cafe exclusively opened for those who love both jazz and fine arts.

In most art museums, you can have a chance of taking a rest for a while in well maintained and organized cafe. As I suspect that some of you who’re wandering about my virtual gallery might feel a bit tired, then, it’d be nice to prepare a place to rest yet to feel something creative. So, please get relaxed and enjoy my personal world of JAZZ!  (Dec. 14, 2004)

Needless to say, these caricaturized portraits of Jazz artists in the following pages are all my personal artwork. (Jan. 6, 2008)
